Wellington
Wellington, home to tons of art and film stuff is also really, really beautiful. There ya have it, erudite and succinct. The Te Papa, Wellington's big, exciting Everything Museum, was worth a visit for the architecture as much as the content.
Vegetarian and local and organic, oh my! Growing Chefs was founded in 2005 as a way to teach kids (and their parents!) about the delicious, wonderful ways in which food gets from the soil to the kitchen. Annie's love of plants is translated here into recipes using local ingredients and ideas from wherever she travels. Annie's philosophy is simple: "Broccoli is not boring!"
